UUM Cares: 720 Sets of PPE Handed Over to Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital

UUM ONLINE: Alor Setar - After nearly two weeks of toiling away to get the personal protective equipment (PPE) ready, UUM volunteers successfully completed a total of 720 sets of PPEs – first phase and presented them to representatives from the Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (SBH).

Presentation of the PPE was officiated by the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Research and Innovation), Prof Dr Ayoib Che Ahmad. The simple presentation ceremony took place in front of the Disaster Operations Room and present to accept the PPE was the Deputy Director (Management) of SBH, Mr Mohamad Fitri Hassan.

The PPEs completed in phase two which will be handed over to SBH were expected to be ready by next week.

Also present at the event were the Director of the Innovation and Commercialisation Centre (ICC), Prof Dr Razamin Ramli; Dean of SCIMPA, Dr Ahmad Hisham Zainal Abidin; SCIMPA lecturer, Assoc. Prof Dr Adzrool Idzwan Ismail; Director of UUM Corporate Comm., Mdm. Rasidah Rodzi and Head of Pharmacy Department, SBH, Mdm. Masfiza Abd Hamid.
